Your Tanzanian adventure highlights the landscapes and wildlife of this spectacular country. After you land in Arusha, you'll meet your safari guide and other participants, review your itinerary, and relax after the long trip. Throughout the safari, you’ll be staying in luxury mobile camps which can sleep anywhere from 1-4 people (people who share are always from the same party). Each comes with its own bathroom complete with a shower, toilet and sink. A chef cooks breakfast for the camp every morning, sack lunch is provided every day out in the desert, and dinner is prepared every evening back at the camp. The entire camp is mobile and is transported for the attendees as you move through the desert on the excursion. You just need to arrange for airfare and everything else is taken care of.
You'll start in Arusha National Park, where the crags of Mt. Meru overlook millions of bright pink flamingos wading in the Momella Lakes, and playful black-and-white colobus monkeys lounge high above the forest floor. Next, you’ll move on to the dusty scrublands of Tarangire National Park in search of one of the continent’s largest elephant herds. After day-long visits to both a Maasai village and the black rhinos of the Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll head out into the untamed Serengeti for a full five days, spending your nights beneath the African stars in camps where a delicious, homemade meal greets you at the end of each day.
